Laboratories studying ghrelin receptor pharmacology who need a selective tool compound rather than a broad secretagogue.
Clinical development was discontinued after phase 2 and no marketing authorisation exists in any territory. Not a controlled substance under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

Product description
Ipamorelin supplied as 5 mg of lyophilised powder in a sealed vial. A synthetic pentapeptide, sequence Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH2, molecular weight 711.9 g/mol.
What is Ipamorelin?
A five-residue synthetic peptide that acts at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor, the same receptor ghrelin binds. Two of its residues are D-amino acids and one is the non-natural residue Aib, which is what gives the molecule its stability and its receptor selectivity.
Why selectivity is the point
Ipamorelin is studied largely because of what it does not do. Earlier compounds in this class, GHRP-6 and GHRP-2, act at the same receptor but also produce measurable effects on cortisol and prolactin, and GHRP-6 has a pronounced effect on appetite. Ipamorelin is comparatively selective, which makes it a cleaner tool compound when the research question concerns one pathway rather than several at once.
That selectivity is the reason it displaced the earlier secretagogues in laboratory use, and the reason we stock it rather than GHRP-2 or GHRP-6.
Development history
Ipamorelin was developed by Novo Nordisk in the 1990s and later licensed onward. It entered human trials and was discontinued after phase 2 having not met its endpoints in the indication under study. It therefore has more human safety data behind it than most compounds in this category, and no marketing authorisation anywhere.
One point of regulatory fact worth stating: human growth hormone itself is a controlled drug in the UK, class C under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. Ipamorelin is not growth hormone and is not a controlled substance. It is a peptide that acts on a receptor.
Why is CJC-1295 studied alongside Ipamorelin?
Searches for "CJC-1295 Ipamorelin" outnumber searches for CJC-1295 on its own, so the pairing deserves an explanation rather than an assumption.
The two act at different receptors. CJC-1295 is a GHRH analogue: it works at the growth hormone releasing hormone receptor, which governs how large a pulse the pituitary produces. Ipamorelin works at the ghrelin receptor, which governs when a pulse is triggered and also suppresses somatostatin, the brake on release.
Because the two mechanisms are separate rather than overlapping, they are frequently studied together in the literature on pulsatile secretion. One sets amplitude, the other sets timing. That is the whole reason the combination appears everywhere.
We supply them as separate single-compound vials rather than a premixed blend. A fixed-ratio blend cannot tell you which component produced an observed effect, which makes it unsuitable for research regardless of how convenient it is commercially. Studying them separately, or together at ratios you control, is the only way to get interpretable results.
Price per milligram
This vial is £24.99 for 5 mg, which is £5.00 per milligram. Comparing suppliers on price per milligram rather than headline price is the only like-for-like comparison, because vial strengths are not standardised across this market.
Does it come with a certificate of analysis?
Every batch is supplied with a certificate of analysis stating the batch reference, identity confirmation, chromatographic purity against specification, and the analytical method used. Purity is determined by reverse-phase HPLC with mass spectrometric identity confirmation. The certificate is specific to the batch you receive rather than a generic sample document, and states the laboratory that performed the work.
How is it reconstituted?
Vials arrive as a lyophilised cake under vacuum. Store sealed at −20 °C, protected from light. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before breaking the seal, which prevents condensation drawing moisture into the powder.
Reconstitute with bacteriostatic water added down the vial wall rather than onto the cake. Swirl gently until clear; do not shake.
Once in solution, Ipamorelin should be kept refrigerated at 2 to 8 °C and protected from light. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, which degrade peptides faster than steady refrigeration. Reconstituted material is not indefinitely stable and working solutions are best prepared in the volumes actually needed.
Cold chain and UK dispatch
Held at −20 °C from arrival through to dispatch. Orders ship in insulated packaging with a cold pack, tracked, so material spends as little time as possible at ambient temperature. Short transit excursions are normal for lyophilised peptides and do not compromise a sealed vial, but the powder should go back into cold storage on arrival.
Supplied strictly for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic application. Purchasers must be 18 or over and are responsible for compliance with the rules applying to them.

Frequently asked questions
What is the Ipamorelin Vial?
The Ipamorelin Vial is Ipamorelin supplied as 5 mg of lyophilised powder in a sealed vial, for reconstitution in the laboratory at whatever concentration the work requires. It is supplied for laboratory research use only.
How much is the Ipamorelin 5mg Vial?
Ipamorelin 5mg Vial is £24.99. UK delivery is £4.95, free on orders over £100, tracked as standard.
What strength is the Ipamorelin Vial?
Each vial holds 5 mg.
How is the Ipamorelin Vial reconstituted?
Yes. This is supplied as a lyophilised powder, so it is reconstituted in the laboratory with bacteriostatic water added slowly down the vial wall and swirled rather than shaken. The volume added sets the working concentration.
How should the Ipamorelin Vial be stored?
Store at −20 °C, protect from light. Allow a sealed vial to reach room temperature before breaking the seal, which stops condensation drawing moisture into the powder.
How quickly is the Ipamorelin Vial dispatched?
Orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same working day, cold-packed in thermal-insulated, tamper-evident packaging.
Is the Ipamorelin Vial for human use?
No. Everything supplied by Peptide Global is strictly an in-vitro research compound for laboratory research professionals. It is not for human or veterinary use.
