Who this is for

Labs studying two tissue-repair peptides in one cartridge — a gastric-juice-derived pentadecapeptide alongside the actin-binding fragment of thymosin beta-4.

Both components are preclinical only. BPC-157 has been on the WADA Prohibited List (S0, non-approved substances) since 2022, and published human evidence amounts to a single small retrospective case series.

Product description

Two peptides supplied pre-mixed together in one 3 ml stabilised cartridge: BPC-157 20 mg and TB-500 20 mg, 40 mg in total. The ratio is fixed when the cartridge is filled, so it is identical in every unit of a fill and does not depend on handling after it arrives.

This pairing is widely known as the Wolverine stack — an informal name for BPC-157 and TB-500 supplied together, not a standardised formulation. What the Wolverine stack is covers where the name came from and what it does not pin down.

What is in the pen

  • BPC-157 20 mg (CAS 137525-51-0, C62H98N16O22, 1419.5 g/mol) — a synthetic pentadecapeptide, sequence GEPPPGKPADDAGLV. It corresponds to a fragment identified within a larger protein in gastric juice, but it does not occur naturally in the body as this fifteen-residue peptide; it is a laboratory construct.
  • TB-500 20 mg (CAS 885340-08-9, C38H68N10O14, 889.0 g/mol) — the acetylated heptapeptide Ac-LKKTETQ, which is the actin-binding region of thymosin β4.

TB-500 is not thymosin beta-4

This is worth stating plainly because most listings elide it. Thymosin β4 is a 43-residue protein. TB-500 is a seven-residue fragment of it — the LKKTETQ motif responsible for binding actin monomers, synthesised on its own and N-terminally acetylated.

The distinction matters for research design. Papers reporting effects of thymosin β4 are reporting on the full-length protein, which carries functions the fragment cannot reproduce: the intact protein has additional binding regions and behaves differently in cell-migration and matrix assays. Treating fragment and protein as interchangeable in a literature review is a straightforward category error, and a good deal of marketing copy makes it.

Why the two are supplied together

BPC-157 and TB-500 are routinely paired in the literature and in practice because their proposed mechanisms are different and non-overlapping rather than complementary in a vague sense:

  • TB-500 sequesters actin monomers, which places it directly in cytoskeletal organisation and cell-migration endpoints.
  • BPC-157 appears in work on nitric-oxide-related signalling, growth-factor cascades and angiogenic markers — pathway-level rather than structural.

Supplying them at a fixed ratio removes the step of combining two reconstituted vials, and with it the compounding variance that step introduces. Where an experiment needs one and not the other, both are available separately.

BPC-157 pen: the same thing under a shorter name

Most people searching for this product type “bpc-157 pen” rather than the full compound name, and the two mean the same thing. A bpc-157 pen is a pre-filled BPC-157 and TB-500 cartridge in a dial-dosing pen, as opposed to lyophilised powder in a vial.

This pen holds 40 mg in a sealed 3 ml cartridge. The dial is graduated at 7 clicks = 0.5 mg BPC-157 / 0.5 mg TB-500. Those are device figures — what the mechanism displaces, not what should be dispensed.

Applications in research

  • Cytoprotection assays. BPC-157 is characterised in the literature primarily through cytoprotection and organoprotection models, which is the framing its originating group uses.
  • Actin dynamics. TB-500 in G-actin sequestration and polymerisation-rate measurement, where the heptapeptide is the defined minimal binding unit.
  • Angiogenic signalling. Endothelial tube-formation and migration assays, where both peptides appear as candidate modulators and the relevant readouts overlap.
  • Combination versus single agent. Running this cartridge against the single-peptide preparations isolates whether the pairing behaves additively in a given assay — which requires a known, constant ratio.

The human evidence base should be described accurately: for BPC-157 it remains limited to small uncontrolled series, and for TB-500 it is essentially preclinical. Neither has been through a controlled trial programme. That is a statement about the literature, not about this material.

Legal status and testing in sport

Neither peptide holds an MHRA marketing authorisation and neither is a licensed medicine in the United Kingdom. Neither is a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, so buying and possessing them for laboratory research is lawful. Supplying them for human or veterinary consumption is not, and would engage the Human Medicines Regulations 2012.

For anyone working near regulated sport: BPC-157 has been on the WADA Prohibited List under S0 (non-approved substances) since 2022, and TB-500 falls under S2 as a growth factor. Both are prohibited at all times, in and out of competition. That is a doping-control matter distinct from legality, and it attaches to the substances regardless of format.

What you are actually comparing between listings

  • Total mass, per peptide. This cartridge holds 20 mg of each. Typical single-peptide vials are 5 mg or 10 mg, and some BPC-157 listings are sold at 500 mcg — a fortieth of the mass here. Read the milligram figure before the price.
  • One cartridge or two vials. Buying the pair separately means two reconstitutions, two diluent volumes and a ratio you establish yourself each time. Here the ratio is set at fill.
  • Format. Pre-mixed solution against lyophilised powder requiring bacteriostatic water, a concentration calculation, and the variance that introduces between preparations.
  • Cost per milligram. At £125 for 40 mg of combined peptide this works out at £3.13 per mg.

The same two peptides appear alongside GHK-Cu in Glow Peptide Pen 140mg, and alongside GHK-Cu and KPV in KLOW Peptide Pen 160mg.

Handling and storage

Store at 2–8 °C and protect from light. Keep the cartridge sealed until use, then upright, and observe aseptic technique. Do not freeze: freeze–thaw cycling is the usual cause of aggregation in peptide solutions, and in a two-component cartridge it risks the components coming out of solution unequally. Orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same working day, cold-packed, in plain outer packaging.

Frequently asked questions

What is the BPC-157 + TB-500 pen?

The BPC-157 + TB-500 pen is BPC-157 / TB-500 supplied pre-mixed in a 3 ml dial-dosing cartridge rather than as lyophilised powder in a vial, so there is no reconstitution step. It is supplied for laboratory research use only.

How many clicks per increment on the Wolverine Stack Pen 40mg?

The dial is graduated at 7 clicks = 0.5 mg BPC-157 / 0.5 mg TB-500. Because the components are combined at a ratio fixed at manufacture, one click dispenses all of them together in that proportion — they cannot be varied independently. Protocol design is a matter for the researcher.

How much is the Wolverine Stack Pen 40mg?

Wolverine Stack Pen 40mg is £125.00. UK delivery is free on every order, tracked as standard.

What strength is the Wolverine Stack Pen?

Each cartridge holds 40 mg. The cartridge volume is 3 ml.

How is the Wolverine Stack Pen dial graduated?

The dial is graduated at 7 clicks = 0.5 mg BPC-157 / 0.5 mg TB-500, so the same volume can be dispensed repeatably between measurements.

Does the BPC-157 + TB-500 pen need reconstituting?

No. This is supplied as a pre-mixed pen, so there is no manual reconstitution step and no handling variability between preparations.

How should the Wolverine Stack Pen be stored?

Store at 2–8 °C, protect from light. Once in use, keep the cartridge upright and observe aseptic handling practice.

How quickly is the Wolverine Stack Pen dispatched?

Orders placed before 2pm are dispatched the same working day, cold-packed in thermal-insulated, tamper-evident packaging.

Is the Wolverine Stack Pen for human use?

No. Everything supplied by Peptide Global is strictly an in-vitro research compound for laboratory research professionals. It is not for human or veterinary use.
